Over the past 30 years, duty flashlight performance was limited by the capabilities of bulbs and batteries.

Conventional flashlights are inherently fragile. They will fail due to bulb burn-out or impact. Nickel Cadmium (NiCad) battery powered bulb flashlights loose their full-charge capacity due to re-charge memory effect. And since they contain toxic heavy metal, disposal is a problem.

As a result, professionals were forced to use flashlights with inferior performance, intermittent reliability and high long-term cost of ownership.

The battery pack has almost twice the energy capacity, has no re-charge memory effect and accepts a fast charge while being environmentally friendly eliminating disposal problems.
